Faculty Budget Committee

The Faculty Budget Committee comprises a core group of elected and appointed faculty and administrative leaders within the Arts and Sciences who provide advice on financial structures and decisions that support A&S priorities and shape the mission of A&S departments, centers, institutes, and schools. The committee also works to educate the faculty on the substance of the A&S budget -- to build a deep bench of faculty leaders with a strong understanding of how the budget contributes to and supports individual A&S schools and units as well as the larger A&S enterprise. The committee works with Arts and Sciences leadership to find the most effective way to fund priorities driven by our core missions of exceptional teaching and cutting-edge research.

The Committee includes two elected members of the tenured faculty, 3 to 4 additional tenured faculty leaders appointed by the Dean and Executive Vice President of Arts and Sciences, and, ex officio, the Divisional Deans of Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Science, and the A&S Vice President for Finance and Administration.
